2011 is coming to an end. Looking back in this year, what have i really accomplished??

I'm still a student when 2011 comes, a student in her final year, struggling and looking forward to her graduation.

Going towards the mid of 2011, the girl graduated with the cert that she has been working hard to. Of course! This will not be achievable without all her friends help *A-BIG-THANK-YOU-BIG-FAT-HUGS*

I have also fulfilled my dream of travelling to overseas for holiday. I thought my first holiday will be at some neighborhood country. Never did I expect myself to travel with my Amicos to TAIWAN!!

Immediately back from TW, I made my first step to the working life. Back to a familiar place but yet feel so stranger. Different people different working style. Although it did not meet my expectation but I'm glad I met my nicest colleagues.. Err No.. They are all my friends now!! :D

What's there to look forward in the year 2012? New year resolution? Nah.. resolution is not for me! :P

Has been craving for Lao Ban Soya Beancurb after first tasting it at Old Airport Road.

Guys if you have not tried it, it is a MUST TRY!

So i decided to satisfy my craving and head to the nearest branch at Maxwell.

This is so true especially so for the working class. Getting tired to wake up early in the morning. Squeeze with the commuters in train and bus. Ended up still late for work despite leaving the house early. After work, repeat the same routine of squeezing and yet reached home the latest. However, if you ask me choose between school and work, it is still definitely WORK!

Meet my mommy after work at Lido. Since it is free and we can get to choose any shaw cinema, why not choose the best one right?So we decided to go to the one at Lido. The previous time I was here was also for a free movie screening for Animals United 3D, which was also from funkygrad contest!

Not that interested in this movie, thought it will be just another action pack movie. Turn out not too bad. But it will not be one of the top movies in my list.

This is a freaking crazy MEGA triathlon.
2 race distances:
–Long course: 2km swim, 102km cycle and 27km run,
–Middle course: 1km swim, 65km cycle and 18km run

With only estimated of 447 runners, yet it ended ard 6PM.

Fortunately we got a good spot, sheltered..

but we got a damn irritating organisor in charge at our station. He thinks because he is the organisor, he has the power to everything. Chase us away from our sitting place, don't allow us to switch off machine. As a organisor, doesn't he know how to speak politely? YES he speak politely only to the runners who paid for the race. The organisor should conduct proper training for these volunteers. I don't care if he is official or just normal volunteer.

Anyhow, this is a super tiring event. Next year might not be taking up this event. Not worth it.

Outdoor photo shoot with Amicos at hort park and places ard city hall. Tiring with the hot sun accompanying us everywhere we go. The only pity is that Jen went for interview and came late. In the end we still unable to take a full Amicos photo. Nonetheless, it's still a fun experience. Never thought that i will walk around the streets in my graduation gown. People congrats us on our way while some keep staring at us. Haha. It must be very funny looking to walk in "harry porter" outfit.

Kwan's has a good location! Facing the sea! But gets sunny after that as there is no shade there.

My first time station at main site but i sat at a pathetic place, which is behind the stage.
Though is abit noisy and can't really get to sleep, it is pretty good to be at main site.
Don't have to wait for lorry and get to see more things.

Realisd that all the runners have beautiful ash-light-brown-golden hair!
Haha I don't know how to describe the colours but it's nice!
I want that colour too!
Anw, these runners were reported that they were from non-asia country yet they all look ang-moh -_-
Even representative from Singapore also look ang-moh!

I have to commend Amicos for the creativity! I ♡ ♥ ♡ this 3D card a lot!
Although the skill is still not very good. Abit of rough work here and there.
However, with amine superb drawing skills, it came alive!
Can feel 100% sincerity and our 6 yrs of friendship in this card.

3:00am @ F1 Pit Building

This is the 2nd times that I helped out in Tri-factor. However, this time round not under Orange Room, I'm working for ESG timing. An easier role. Because of this, I get to eye-witness how screwed the run turned out.
I guess this is my first time staying so awake for the race. Seeing how chaotic it becomes. Runners run everywhere as they like.
Insufficient marshals and inadequate water point volunteers.
Cones to divert the runners were kicked to all directions.
Something even more disgusting but i shall not describe them here haha

Many runners complained on Tri-Factor FB.
Hence, there will be a re-run on 7th Aug @ East Coast Park.

Jurong is having its first biggest run ever!

BUT i dislike the way the organizer management.
Complete waste of energy, sleep and time.
This is the brief outline of the actual day.

11.59pm - 1.30am: Registration, Issuing of Entitlements, Briefing
within individual groups
1.30am - 2.00am: Break, Supper
2.00am - 4.30am: Orientation to Ground within individual groups
4.30am - 5.30am: Rest, Breakfast
5.30am - : Deployment

I don't see a need for orientation or take a break and rest there.
I should have just go down to Japanese Garden on my own since it is so near.
Why bother go down CC to accompany the small kids watch whatever movie.

Good thing is that it is near my house and ended early too.
Eh actually we end our job early since we are near the start point.
No instruction of debrief or what, so we decided to go off on our own.

This should be my first time and last time helping them out for event.

The 3 of us went out to buy everyone's breakfast. We bought 碗糕, 大肠面线 and 锅贴Foods there are cheap and tasty!

Before leaving, we had a visit to one of the museum there. *Forgotten its name :p*

Yea! Leaving 頭城 to Taipei! I bought this cheese macaroni for lunch on the train. It was nice at the beginning but it gets very chessy after that. Luckily Amine is nice enough to share with me her curry rice. So we exchanged our lunch after that.

Moving with our luggage again to our 西门町 hostel. Look at the additional bags! I still carry one luggage but it is now extended :D

Carry out luggage across the streets and finally found our hostel management. We thought we are living upstairs. Horrified after seeing the flight of stairs! Luckily the management told us is not here phew!

Tada! I have to PRAISE and command lots lots on our hostel. Is really pretty and cozy. It looks like normal apartment from the outside but there are 2 levels inside.
This is our first view when we stepped inside. The bedrooms at 1st and 2nd level. I like the glass- transparent feel. So "classy"

Set off to look for our 太阳饼. Non-stop of testing. Taiwanese are really generous in their portion. Damn full after that such that we can skip our lunch

After 1hr 45mins of train ride. We finally reached! @.@

Reached our hostel. 頭城背包客棧Toucheng Backpackers. Hmm no comment. lol

And so we decided to go pingxi 放天灯.

We reached this place call 猴硐 to transfer another train. Sadly the next train is too late that we couldn't make it in time to go back our hostel. So we ended up have to wait for the next train back to 頭城. Wasted our time, energy and MONEY!

Almost missed this as Amico is suppose to have bday celebration. Just the minute before I step out of the house, yan's sms said that the bday girl lost her IC so our celebration is cancelled. Just nice I can head down to Shaw house for the preview screening. Didn't expect it to be on 3D O.o

The movie is still oookkk. Suits all ages! Something to note about this movie is that the animals are in great detailed. Awesome graphic!!

It was a different 3D experience from the previous Sanctum movie that I watched.
The seats were really comfortable and spacious. Also their 3D glasses lens are huge. Shaw house is definitely much much better than another other cinemas I have went.
I don't really go for 3D as it give me headache after awhile. But this time is slightly better :)

I quit my telemarketing job! This kind of job is not suitable for me at all. I don't like to open my mouth early in the morning and get scolding for the bad management of the company. I'm only a part-timer there! I don't wish to call you people either! I didn't caused the bad management!

What's worst is that I don't like this company at all. Probably I'm just a one-wk part-timer, they don't recognize my existence! No-one ask me for lunch or even tell me when is the official lunch time. I didn't eat my lunch on my first day and I'm still that dumb to continue do the calling during their lunch time.

Nvm. I have decided to quit early :)

Something about this company.. their position level is damn high because no-one is lower than "manager" level. Even the new comer is call "senior executive" when her job is also doing all the callings. Why is her pay so much higher than me when she is doing the same job as me?!

I found this lizard on the window panel between my table and the next door neighbour. So weird. Which girl will put such a sticker to decorate their office??
I noticed another one in my boss office light switch. This company loves lizard hur..
But the lizard looks quite real. I initially thought they paste a transparent tape over a dead lizard haha

Had a "movie-marathon" just because the free tickets we are holding is going to expire soon.
There isn't much nice movie but it will be a waste to throw away the free tickets so we randomly choose 3 to watch in a day.

Tadaa~~

The 1st one is a chinese movie "Don't go breaking my heart" Of course there is my handsome dude Louis Koo and the female lead is quite pretty too! She resemble Gigi Leung to me.
This is the better one among the 3.

The 2nd movie is an english movie by the female lead of "Black Swan"
This movie is still so-so. I should say is only average but still not that bad.

The last one: Norwegian wood. I fall asleep just about 30mins after the show start.
It's too artistic for people like me to understand. I don't know what's going on and it is just like a sex education film -_-
Surprisingly, there is a lot of audience and we only managed to get the front seats at the side.
Why is this so popular??? Even the review say the story is good! Why?!

And so.. the whole day is only going in- and out of the theater. Not that tired, probably because I napped in the last movie :D

one is a useless CSC membership card, which is literally made of paper. That's why it is crumpled -_-

Second is a sample that i redeem from the hadalabo's fb. It says is good, I shall try it out :)

Third is a NTUC voucher which i redeem from doing lots of online survey them! ☺
This survey portal is real! No harm helping them and reward yourself.
This is the don't-know-which-no.-of-vouchers I have given to my mum.
NTUC voucher is the most practical rewards. Just use in on grocery and don't have to think so much on what to use it on.

Went to watch Sanctum 3D at GV Marina with my sis. (So lucky to won a pair of free ticket from GVMC ^^)
Thou the plot is not so well-written but it still makes the audience tears

It's year 2011! No new year resolution as I know myself too well that I will not follow it throughout the year =P Let's not waste time and brain cells on it

School gonna start next week but my timetable is now only half filled up.
It is finally my final semester. Really looking forward to it. Last round to take my exams in MPSH (don't think I will ever miss the feeling haha) I don't like the stress~
Not much thoughts about my final sem, just want to end it off nice and sweet ♡

Extended my job till 19th since first two week of school is still nothing much.
I can print my notes in my work place too hee
Once again, I made many nice friends in my workplace. Funny and playful bunch of "kids". Had enjoyed unlimited flow of jokes from them. Read Stomp and play omy's games almost everyday. Its only that recent week there is major changes in our work responsibility, we have to spend more time on our work now boo~

Guess I pretty much enjoyed my holidays. Except the last wk due to CORS bidding!! arghh not enough points, not enough credits, not enough modules to choose from =(

Alright I shall continue to watch my videos online heh

Meetup with my beloved NCS friends. Initially is just a lunch meetup yet ended up a one-day SG tour haha
Lunch at yuki yaki, guys played pool while we girls played with mervyn's "BIG phone", walk around marina sq, helix bridge, MBS (saw it on fire!) then dinner at makansutra.
Never expect it to be a long day for us. Everyone's leg is aching after walking for so long. But still we all had enjoyed the day ♡

Fireworks!!Yesterday is Mid Autumn Festival.
The fireworks seems to be the same every time. Budget hur~

The admission is free. (The Mid Autumn decoration should be there till 26th sept, 4pm - 10pm)

There are lanterns hanging on around for decoration, wishing tree ($5 for the thingy to throw up the tree), kids fun fair, tokens from the fun fair to exchange for free lantern and a small mooncake. If u are lucky enough (like me haha) to meet a nice security guard who is distributing the tokens for visitors to go for the free mooncake exchange. *too bad I don't eat mooncake*

It is NUS rag n flag 2010 and this year so happen that Singapore will be hosting the upcoming Youth Olympic Games (YOG) , the YOG Flame Arrival Ceremony on the same day itself.
Again, my FIRST time taking part in such event.
Didn't know that it can be such high and interesting to see the effort of all students for the float and performance. The floats are really awesome! Take my hat off to those who have put in so much for the rag n flag.

Pardon me for the bad photo quality because they are taken with my lousy handphone.
A bit inconvenient to bring camera for volunteer work.

The first float that came is from SOC. That's so coincidental. Saw their performance, thought it was not bad.. but those behind are even better. SOC needs more enthu people haha.

We suppose to have YOG tee but the YOG org said they ran out of tee, hence we will get name tag instead. We waited until the ceremony start, still did not get our tag. Wearing our own shirt and without tag, who knows we are the crew?! Ended up we became the public who are there to watch the whole ceremony.

Never thought that I would take part in NUS event haha.

The performance not that nice as compare to the one in national day parade. But at least there is fireworks! Very near me. Can even feel the ashes falling on my face. Thou is less than a minute, but better than nothing right =)

Last day of my internship has finally come, thou I doesn't want it to end early.
It's ok, let's keep the memory short and sweet ❤

Planned to come office early to prepare the farewell gift for our supervisors but I was late. It was raining heavily that day. Simin arrived the earliest, 8.09AM!!!
Our work in the morning is not the real work haha is the gift preparation. So worried that our supervisors come to our table because our tables are in real mess with the cards and biscuits.

Writing the cards, re-wrap the biscuits, put n our signatures, finding colour printers, cutting the papers, taking pictures...

Glad that they like it ☺
(Wants to learn photoshop too. Angeline's designed those names very nicely)

Supervisors gave in to ur request for a sakura farewell lunch. Ate for almost 2hrs! Hee =D

Met up with the 2-3 peeps at Timbre @ The Arts House.

Another first time to a new place. Haha ya I know I'm very tortise! But this is the 2nd time to Timbre. Previously went to the one @ Old School. Finally get to the the famous Roast duck pizza. Not too bad. Quite special but Shir says that it does not taste as good as before. I only get to try one piece. A bit pity. We also ordered a split-pizza of spicy cajun chicken and seafood.

The girls and guys are like splitted into 2 groups. Each talking on our own.
Didn't manage to get any updates from the guys but can see that they are doing quite well. All I overheard is about their holiday tripS. Exchanging experiences.
Girls as per normal, talk about schs and work.

Is nice to gather more of 2-3 peeps out instead of our usual clique but the organiser ended up did not turn up -_- Some are missing for unknown suspicious reasons (hmm...)

Another voluntary work at the field outside Paya Labar MRT station with my jie and gor, Jen and Kwan (the usual "enthu" group of volunteers claims to be doing these from the heart lolz).

The event is called "One Community Walk"

"It is an unprecedented nation-wide mass walking event engaging residents from all the constituencies in Singapore. This event is the largest synchronized mass walking event in Singapore to date and one of the biggest displays by the community in support of the inaugural Singapore Youth Olympic Games."

A short event with only one water-point station. Now we are very experience in water-point.
As this event mostly involve the residents, the aunties and uncles made the day brighter with the smiles put on their face ☼ They made work very easy for us too. Helping to throw the cups in the box we have place for them (Trash bag wasn't given to us until the end of the event) They finish all the water (box is not that wet) and stack the used cups nicely. So much better than the marathon runners who always throw the cups anywhere they like. Professional but not discipline. We even came out with the idea of making a Fine board for littering the cups on the floor to remind them haha.

The organisers are very pleasant and wonderful. Fun-loving peple who alwasys have lots of laughter. They tried to give us as many welfare as possible. Manage to get Uncle Awesome's number. He is another nice uncle who always tips us. Nice knowly them.

Overall, a simple and delightful events. ♡

This is my FIRST time to MacRitchie Reservoir Park despite in Singapore for soooo many years
Went with my sis, Cheryl (sis's friend), Cherly's hubby and their friend, "uncle" (Haha no idea why they call him this).
Woke up 7+ in the morning. The weather is quite dark. Thought it will rain and the trip will be cancel. Thou it really rains on our way day, I'm glad that we continue our journey as it was really a wonderful morning with the rising sun and clean and fresh air. I like the way it is, away from the urban area, it "frees my mind"
Anw if you notice, all the photos are taken from their backview cos Im walking behind, the last one to shoot many many photos

Maybe we have always been walking on nice concrete pathway, I find walking on stones and wooden boardway skirting the edge of the scenic MacRitchie Reservoir and walking trial through the forest interesting and advanturous. ☺

After walking a considerable distance, finally we reached the golf course at Singapore Island Country Club. Nice place with nice grass patch.

Due to the rain, most of the walking trial are wet and muddy. See that MUD!!
Black muds + brown muds + mud water + uneven rocks and stone + protruding tree root..
Walking thru the paths is not easy while trying to maintain my shoe clean. YARR I wore a new shoes!! Anyway, gotta thanks JL for sponsoring me the shoes that he exchange using his NS credits. Confortable BUT slippery! Walking on the boardway is really slippery. Almost slip off a few times.

Climbing up the "tower" to catch good view of MacRitchie. It is very windy up there. However climbing the spiral staircase is abit giddy. Turn too much haha ☻

Looking at the amount of stairs that we have to climb back, really shag.

If you take a close look, there are 3 monkeys at the front. Wanted to take a close picture of them but Im too scared to stand still n shoot photos.
And the cute dog in the bag. Her owners are to tired to carry her by hand. Poor dog, I guess it must be very stuffy inside.

Walk along the expressway back to where we come from. My pink lung is once again polluted by the exhuast pipes of driving vehicles. We are back~~~
